Why Quarterly Pest Control Service Plans Make Sense

With all the focus on Coronavirus it is easy to forget that springtime pest prevention treatment sets the stage for worry-free summer enjoyment. With millipedes, centipedes, and crickets waking up due to the warm temperatures, spring is the time to think about treating – and protecting - your home.

Preventative pest control is the most effective way to protect your home from pest infestation. After a one-time treatment, pests can come back so having a quarterly pest control service can help prevent this.

Why Quarterly Pest Control Service Makes Sense?

As pests are active all year, you need to protect your home all year. When you have a quarterly pest control service, your property is inspected and treated four times a year. At Go Green, we customize a preventative treatment plan to make sure we address your issues as well as looming seasonal pests.

  1. Spring – ants, bees, crickets, flies, roaches, stink bugs

  2. Summer – ants, flies, mosquitoes, roaches, spiders, stink bugs, wasps

  3. Fall – fleas, spiders, roaches, rodents, stink bugs, wasps

  4. Winter – rodents, roaches

Our initial treatment involves a thorough inspection and treatment of your home - both inside and out. We will apply a treatment 3 feet from the foundation- around the perimeter of your home. This protective barrier acts like a forcefield and stops pests from entering (or reentering) your home. After the first inspection and treatment, you should only need maintenance exterior treatments. This means that your home can be treated even if you’re not at home, ensuring that your schedule doesn’t impact the protection of your home.

Benefits of quarterly pest control

Peace of mind is probably the biggest benefit, although you also save money when you sign up for a quarterly service plan.

  • Avoid Infestation Emergencies. Quarterly plans keep your property free of pests, but also check for potential problems - so things are addressed before they become major problem.

  • Healthy Home Environment. Although some pests are simply annoying, some can

actually pose a health problem to your family. Rodents carry diseases that can be transmitted to humans and their pets. Diseases such as hantavirus, salmonella and rat bite fever are carried by rodents. Carpet beetles eat any type of natural fibers so when you see holes in soft fabrics, you may have a problem. Roaches are ugly and have been associated with unsanitary conditions. They eat garbage and breed in sewers. Need I say more?

  • Yard Protection. Mosquitoes can be annoying and can carry diseases such as West Nile and Zika virus. You can reduce the chance of mosquitoes taking over your yard through preventive treatments.

It’s simply common sense to subscribe to a year-round plan. Go Green will work with you, on your schedule, to protect your home. And, if you own multiple properties, quarterly pest control is even more important. When you leave your primary or secondary home, there is a good chance that when you get back, you will find an unwanted pest. A pest maintenance plan will keep your home(s) pest free when you’re not there.

Put a forcefield around your home to stop pests from moving into your home. Once you have that perimeter treatment, you should not need to have pesticides applied inside your home.
