The NJ State Assembly passed a bill, on Thursday, February 5, 2009, requiring landlords of multiple dwelling buildings to remove bed bug infestations as soon as they become aware of them. Those not in compliance face fines of $300 for each infested bedroom and $1,000 for each infested common area.
